Residents of Regina have Saskatchewan health insurance coverage for most medically necessary services. Patients must present their Saskatchewan Health Services Cards every time they need medical attention. For information on eligibility and applying for health coverage, click here. For prescription drugs and some services that are not covered by Saskatchewan Health there are additional, paid health insurance plans.

Patients need to find family doctors who, if necessary, can prescribe drugs and refer to specialists and hospitals. Those who don’t have family physicians can visit Regina’s walk-in medical clinics.

Hospitals are run by the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region (RQHR).  There are three healthcare facilities in Regina: Regina General Hospital, Pasqua Hospital and Wascana Rehabilitation Centre.
