MOSAIC offers unlimited free classes for qualified newcomers in Vancouver, Burnaby, and North Vancouver.  All MOSAIC classes offer an Online component, so students can access course materials at home from their computer or mobile device.

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) is offered at a wide range of levels from complete beginner to advanced.  The programs are funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).

MOSAIC offers free childcare services for eligible students.

English for Work Program

MOSAIC English for Work program combines classroom and online learning. English for Work (EFW) is a free LINC Language course. MOSAIC EFW classes are for students at LINC Levels 5, 6, and 7.

Participants study English grammar, pronunciation, and topics such as:

• Canadian workplace culture
• Participation in meetings
• Making presentations
• Working on a team
• Canadian-style emails and documents
• Job Searching
• Interview skills
• Business writing

MOSAIC English for Work program combines classroom and online learning. In the classroom, participants talk with classmate and guest speakers. Online, they listen, read, and write. Studying online makes it easier to fit their English classes into their schedule.

Participants can also choose between a full-time and part-time option in order to better suit their personal schedule.

Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test Service

Do you know if your English language ability will keep you from being successful? 

Canadian Language Benchmarks are a national, standardized system of measuring a person’s English language proficiency. The Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Test (CLBPT) is a stream-lined, valid test that results in useful information for clients and for those working with them.

MOSAIC has been providing the Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Test (CLBPT) service since March 2007. All MOSAIC CLB assessors have post-graduate work in adult ESL education, experience working with English language learners, and specific training in administering the CLBPT.

Assessments take place on:

Thursdays at 3:30 and 5:30 and Saturdays at 9:00am, 11:00am and 1:00pm.
